Comfort Inn & Suites Shakopee Downtown Area

After a horrible experience at the AmeriVu in Waconia (you can see my review there) This hotel graciously accomodated us at the last minute when I was forced (literally) to find another hotel. Check in was super easy, and our stay was excellent. The beds were comfortable, bathroom much larger than the average hotel, the pool was open during our stay, not the hot tub but so many hotels Ive seen are kinda phasing them out (I imagine due to sheer maintenance of such things) very good selection of breakfast both hot and cold, more than Ive seen at other places, bonuses were that we were closer to our event, and there were 3 restaurants just across the street not to mention a food truck right there in the Comfort Inn parking lot. This hotel literally saved our group getaway and all of us are very grateful, now I know where to book my room(s) for next time.

I had a really pleasant experience at this motel. The room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. The bed was cozy, the linens were fresh, and everything felt well-maintained. Staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, making check-in quick and easy. The location was convenient, with easy parking and nearby places to grab food. It was quiet at night, so I got a great night’s sleep. For the price, the value is excellent—simple, comfortable, and exactly what you want from a good motel stay. I’d definitely stay here again!

My biggest surprise so far is that this motel is so good that I actually like staying there. There, from the employee to the manager, everyone was very good. All of them were helpful, more than that the motel was fast and the maintenance service was extraordinary. last but not the least I got the greatest experience all ever I had.

Good hotel. Didn’t spend too much on this room so didn’t expect perfection. Hotel has a musty kind of smell too it unfortunately but overall was fairly clean. Had no huge issues. Very friendly staff.

Nice hotel, updated too. Close to Valley Fair. Pool was nice with what I feel are better lounging chairs. Breakfast was the same from day to day. Clean rooms though the bathroom toilet drain was not draining well. Friendly staff and always there to help. Great restaurants across the street too!

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel is one of the cleanest and most comfortable hotels that we have stayed in in the last 4 years. The room and grounds were impeccable. The bathroom tile and the carpet were outdated and we were told they were next on the project list. This was not an issue for us because it was the absolute cleanest room we have stayed in ever! And we have stayed in quite a few medium priced hotels. The hotel staff that we interacted with, Lisa and Howard, were polite, curtious and helpful. The room was spotless! The grounds very clean. I was surprised at the size of the king room with hottub and the comfort of the bed. I would not hesitate to stay at this property. We will be booking again in the next couple of months.

Very helpful staff and quiet place. My family of four stayed three nights and we had a good time alltogether. Everything was super clean and functional. The best was the breakfast with plenty of options and always full with all the food. Good job!

->Bath tub wouldn't stop running<- Friendly check-in (Tim) including "welcome cookies" (yummy). TV was confusing and difficult to use. Wifi slow (7 mbps download/5 mbps upload) No luggage rack in room 125, so had to put suitcase on the floor (very uncomfortable). Couldn't get the tub faucet to stop running. Breakfast was included and very good: Hot foods included scrambled eggs and sausage, there was a waffle maker and other bread/cereal products. Breakfast area was clean. For a weeknight in late Sept 2025, a 2 bed room was about $105 USD before tax
